Harry J. Symes

Harry J. Symes, 72, husband of Linda (Harms) Symes of Lock Haven, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, PA.

Born in Newark New Jersey on November 19. 1950 he was the son of the late John H. and Gertrude (Skrdlant) Symes.

He was a graduate of Union High School, Union New Jersey, Fairleigh Dickinson University, B.A. English and the DeVry Institute of Technology.

He previously lived in Lansdale, PA for 31 years prior to Lock Haven, PA.

Harry and Linda were wed on August 15, 1987 and shared over 36 years of marriage together. 

Harry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior over 28 years ago. He enjoyed serving and fellowship as a member of Crossroads Church, Jersey Shore, PA. Prior to moving to this area he attended the Hilltown Baptist Church in Chalfont, PA.

Harry’s interests included camping, beach vacations and traveling with cruise lines. However, his greatest joy was spending time and holidays with his family.

Along with his wife he is survived by a daughter Katherine L.M. (Adam) Lamey of Lock Haven, a sister Heidemarie (Ralph) Iaccarino, of Clark, NJ, a nephew Matthew Iaccarino of Clark NJ and a granddaughter Sailor R. Lamey of Lock Haven.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Crossroads Church, 1454 S. Rte. 44 Hwy., Jersey Shore, PA with Pastor Jason Borowicz and Pastor C. Jamie Bailey and Pastor Greg Anderson officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2- 4- PM. Private Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
