Susan Y Simcox

Susan Y. “Sue” “Susie” Simcox, 76, of 24 Cree Drive, Lock Haven, PA formerly of Loganton, PA passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Haven Place, Lock Haven, PA.

     Born on May 3, 1947 in Lock Haven, PA she was the daughter of the late John E. and Betty L. (Mateer) Simcox.

     She was a 1966 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton, PA.

     Sue was formerly employed by Gettig Pharmaceutical of Spring Mills, PA and Rishel’s Furniture Factory of Williamsport, PA.

     She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Booneville, PA where she was the pianist for over 47 years. 

      Sue loved people.  She talked to anyone and everyone.  She remembered anyone she crossed paths with and always had a story to tell.  Sue loved life and loved her family.  She brought out the kid in everyone.  Sue will leave behind special memories to all those that knew her!

     Sue enjoyed crafts and crocheting, playing board and card games.  She was an avid bowler and enjoyed WWE; especially John Cena.  She was also a fan of the New York Yankees and Walt Disney.

     She is survived by a sister Sandra L. Garverick and a brother George Simcox both of Loganton, PA and many nieces and nephews.

     Along with her parents she was predeceased by a brother Daniel J. Simcox and a niece Heidi S. Lucas.

     The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the St. John Lutheran Church, 1450 W. Valley Rd., Booneville, PA with Rev. Karl W. Runser, III officiating.  The viewing will be held in the church on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 6- 8 PM.  If desired memorial’s may be made in Sue’s name to the St. John Lutheran Church % Christina Martin, 2145 Junction Rd., Manheim, PA  17545.  Private Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Tylersville Cemetery, Tylersville, PA.
