Alexander “Alex” Welch, 74, of 333 Glover St., Jersey Shore, PA passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday July 5, 2023.
Born in Baltimore, MD on July 16, 1948 he was the son of the late Hendrick A. and Aspasia (Couris) Welch.
He was a veteran of the U S Army serving during the Vietnam War and a graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton, PA.
For several years he was a carpenter in the construction business.
Alex enjoyed hunting, fishing and dining out at various restaurants.
He is survived by his longtime friend, Larry R. Hill, Jr., of Jersey Shore, a sister Dorothy Rishel (James) of Loganton, two brothers, Frederick M. (Dorothy) Welch of Lock Haven and Nicholas (Coleen) Welch of Greenburr, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by two sisters Evelyn N. Snyder and Beatrice Cherry.
A private burial will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
