Grace Marion (Holdren) Nicholas, 98, of Jersey Shore, PA formerly of Tylersville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Grace was blessed to have been the matriarch of five generations of women in her family.
Born on August 31, 1926 in Rauchtown, PA she was the daughter of the late Russell, Sr. and Margaret (Shaffer) Holdren.
Grace married Thomas L. “Tom” Nicholas on December 24, 1966. Tom and Grace operated a dairy farm for the majority of their lives together in Booneville, PA.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Bible Church, Loganton, PA.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by four sisters, Anna Mae Brungard, Pearl Gunsallus, Doris Merrill and Freda Rockey, three brothers Merrill, Russell, Jr. and Elwood Holdren and two grand daughters Kelly Furl and Cara Valez.
Surviving are her children, Peggy Fegly,Woolrich, PA, Sandra Stover, TN, Cathy Boob, TN, Tammy Matter, Dunnstown, PA and Yvonne Miller, Loganton, PA a brother Donald Holdren of Carroll, PA, 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
Grace enjoyed canning, gardening and farming. One of her favorite holidays was Thanksgiving, when she had the opportunity to enjoy a meal and time spent with all of her family.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Loganton Wesleyan Church, 4972 Long Run Rd., Loganton, PA with Rev. Brad Strange officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Final Interment will be held in Tylersville Community Cemetery, Tylersville, PA.
