Joann E. (Force) Lamey, 59, widow of Darvin L. Lamey of 11 Old Hill Rd., Loganton, PA passed away at home on Thursday, April 7, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Born on August 25, 1956 in Lock Haven, PA she was the daughter of the late Clarence W. Force, Sr. and Shirley (McGarvey) Force of Loganton.
She was a 1976 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton, PA.
The majority of her life she was a cook at various restaurants.
Joann enjoyed doing many things including crocheting, crafts, gardening, cooking and fishing; however, her favorite pastime was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her mother she is survived by three sons Jason Lamey (Kari) of Milroy, Nathan Lamey and William Lamey (Rachael) both of Tylersville, a daughter Christine Lamey of Tylersville, two grandchildren, Mackenzie Sutfin and Hannah Lamey, five brothers David Force of Spring Mills, Daniel Force of Salona, Samuel Force of Howard, George Force of McElhattan and Mark Force of Loganton and three sisters Kathleen Force of Loganton, Connie Wren of York and Amy Weaver of Loganton.
In addition to her father Joann was predeceased by a brother Clarence W. Force, Jr.
Joann never asked for much but gave a lot.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Tylersville United Church of Christ, 3782 Narrows Rd., Tylerville, PA with Rev. Rodger L. Snyder officiating. A visitation will be held in the church on Saturday from 11-1 P.M. If desired memorials may be made in Joann's name to the First National Bank, 4 East Main St., Loganton, PA 17747 to assist the family.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 East Main St., Loganton, PA.
