Patricia A. “Pat” Smith, 82, wife of Garry A. Smith of Milan, PA passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center, Athens, PA.
Born in Loganton, PA on October 29, 1942 she was the daughter of the late William B. and Beulah (Clymer) Winans.
She was a 1960 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton, PA and the former Williamsport Area Community College Business School, now Penn College, Williamsport, PA.
Garry and Pat were wed on April 16, 1962 and shared over 63 years of marriage together.
For many years Pat was the EMS Training Coordinator for the Bradford Susquehanna EMS Council based out of Robert Packer Hospital.
She was a member of the Leona Open Arms Ministry of Leona, PA and served as an organist/pianist and choir director for various churches throughout the years.
Pat was a former volunteer EMT with the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Co. #13, Loganton, PA. She also in earlier years was a girl scout leader and involved with the Bradford County Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed camping.
Along with her husband she is survived by three sons Scott Smith (Michelle) of Sayre, PA, Carl E. Smith (Tina) of Wonder Lake, IL and Lance William Smith (Veronica) of Loganton and a daughter Laura Williams (Mark) of Lamar, PA., 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son Donald William Smith and a brother James W. Winans.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 East Main St., Loganton, PA with Rev. Brenda Mitchell officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 6-8 PM. Final Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton, PA. If desired memorials may be made in Pat’s name to the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School Foundation, 236 E. Main St., Loganton, PA 17747 or to the Trinity United Methodist Church (Greenburr), 47 E.
